Does anyone know why sometimes we feel like we need to broadcast it when we are feeling sad?
All in all, I cannot say it has been a bad year, I promise. I got a promotion earlier in the year and that's good! I almost don't regret it!
However, I had already been overworked, and the promotion did not help that, so the little bright light that hobbies, fandom included, could provide were strangled out of my life. Not completely, of course, but enough that now that we are at the end of the year, when the balance for fandom for the year is done... the results are bleak.
And like, I know people are not tied to the value they can add to fandom.
But it's different to know it for friends than for one self -- for me, at least.
There's also the cycle of being overworked > missing on being present in fandom > distance grows between friends > friends less present during christmas celebrations
And like I get it, it's normal, if you don't have the time to be there, that's bound to happen. But I am bitter for the part I played in this, even if I logically know that I did what I could.
But knowing it's normal doesn't make the sad any easier.
Anyway, sry for this if you read this. I have been gone for basically the entire year and I come here to cry -- figures.
Anyway, I didn't came here to pimp neither vixxmas nor the girl group halloween prompt meme, so the very least I can do is spread joy around!

I hope you're able to do more of the things you love in 2025, and yeah I've struggled with work taking over my life in the past so I know how sucky it feels, but it didn't continue forever for me so I hope it also changes for you. //hugs if wanted

Hugs are definitely wanted, thank you ♥
And I think you are definitely right on that. Personally for me I feel like I need to let it out or else it will feel worse, as if it's a pre-requisite in order to move on, but what you're saying makes sense as to why it needs to be in a public forum!
But seriously, thank you for your hugs and your words and hope, and stopping by ♥♥ Hoping your 2025 is good and gentle with you
