god I never know how to begind these, so please forgive me in advance.

I think I was kind of waiting to see if the fannish 50 challenge was going to resume, but I saw someone say that they were doing it and honestly - yeah, I think I'd like to try and keep it up this year even if there is no official join post or anything.

(If there is, do point me to it?)

Something else that I saw is snowflake_challenge, which is definitely not new, but it is new to me! It sounds really nice, and the questions are really interesting! Definitely more intense for the energy I currently have to spare, but I will be looking at the prompts and try to post with some!

Besides the Dreamcatcher anniversary fanmetting and how they are absolutely destroying me with both the pictures and the retelling of what happened after, there is something that I have been thinking for a while that I wanted to... I guess write down somewhere?

Do you know that feeling when something you like gets a sequel (that was not originally planned) and you're both super happy and super scared that it's not going to be the same? That's what happened with Leverage for me.

The show ended, and it ended well and it was all wrapped up nicely. And then a reunion show was announced. Not a reboot, but a continuation of the story. And I Was so happy because it is a show I love to bits but then when it started airing I... was never in the mood to watch.

That would have meant that the show would need to leave the very neat box of "finished shows" and go back to the other box where disappointment could happen. And we don't deal well with that in this house, guys. That I can tell you upfront.

In addition to that, there had been some cast changes, which I am very approving of, but that added to that uncertainty.

But god I am so glad I managed to swallow everything and started watching Leverage Redemption. Yes, it is different, it needs to be. But it also has the best part of the essence of the other one without trying to cling to it.

This show, you guys. I can't recommend it enough ♥

So at this time I have to assume I am not going to make it to the 50 fannish posts challenge. The benefit to that is that at least I will let myself free from the obligation and might be able to post more?

Long time no see, hope you are well! So many new things since last time!

I posted a fic (Dreamcatcher, Dami/Yoohyeon, ~2k) for ForTheRecord fest as a pinch hit, which I am decently happy with all things considered! I am also currently writing another which is cool but also sucks because while I write I can't read as much and I miss reading so much!!

Also, a new community for kpop fic kpop_fic opened! I have been wanting to check it out and be more active but while I gather spoons for that, I know they are doing cool things!

(Anyone enjoying the Infinite comeback and concert content too?)

So many new thingies to absorb these last few weeks too! Good Omens and Heartstopper and the Red, White and Royal Blue were my particular choice, but I also know a vampire BL dropped that apparently was super good?

Also watched Nimona too and it was absolutely delightful -- an automatic rec if you have not seen it yet ♥

Was also able to go to the Mamamoo MyCon showing here in theaters!! It was weird, because my body wanted to feel the bass from the concert and it is not the same in theaters, but also it was so so cool to be able to do this! We have come so far, and I am so happy to have had the chance!

OH OH also!! I don't know if there are any HSM enjoyers around but THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST NEWS EVER (to me). I can't wait to give it some time and go back to the tag and see if any fic pops up!!

I am feeling some kind of way about twitter and not having a good alternative for the fansites -- everything else I know I would be able to organize differently, but that is the one thing keeping me there and I absolutely hate it. By the way does anyone of you a good way to set an rss feed that is not terrible looking for twitter accounts?

Also TweetDeck died on me finally last week and god it was really the only way to make the site really usable for me (especially since I have like 10 accounts). That plus the whole media companies erasing things and not releasing physical media anymore is not helping to the whole mood of everything. idk. We'll see where we end at... In the meantime if you have good tools to mass download pics from Naver articles please share?

Also the best thing August has brought? I have been able to work some more on some fic binding. God if I were able to not work I would devote my energy to do this all day, it's so satisfying. Currently experimenting on ways to apply gold on the spine of books in a way that does not involve heat as I do not own, and I do not wish to own, an Iron; also working on an author's(friend's) copy of the fic too to send them.
